CocktailsCava Colada Cocktail

Background

The official beverage of Puerto Rico since 1978, the traditional piña colada cocktail is built from rum, pineapple juice, coconut cream, and swaying palm trees on the beach. The name literally means ‘strained pineapple’, referring to the principal juice of the drink. We have our own version of the cocktail, improved, of course, by bubbles from Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut Cava. Delicious and refreshing, there is nothing strained about this cocktail. It is smooth sailing, from the first sip to the last nibble of the garnish. Mix your cocktail, find your hammock, and prepare for a lovely interlude.

  • 3 parts Pineapple juice
  • 4 parts Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut Cava
